Bianca Bagatourian

Bianca Bagatourian is an experimental playwright and graduate of the MFA playwriting program at Brooklyn College with lifetime Obie award-winning playwright, Mac Wellman. Her latest play, The Time of Our Lies, a play about the life of historian Howard Zinn, co-produced by Viggo Mortensen, was nominated for the Amnesty Int. Freedom of Expression Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, 2014. Her latest play, "The Gratitude Prayer," tackles the necessary dehumanization universal to all genocides. Bianca is also the founder and president of the Armenian Dramatic Arts Alliance since 2005 which administers the $10,000 William Saroyan Human Rights Playwriting Award. (www.armeniandrama.org) She last produced an evening of readings for ADAA , “Staging the Unstageable” with Center Theater Group at the Kirk Douglas theater in Los Angeles on April to commemorate the Armenian Genocide Centennial. She is also a published children's author.
